Blessed Sacrament is a diverse Catholic community alive in the heart of Hollywood. We help everyone discover their own unique adventure within the transformative epic of God.
Out at Blessed Sacrament is a vibrant, active ministry comprised of parishioners who identify as LGBTQ+ Catholics. Seven core members of this ministry meet monthly to create social, spiritual, and service events that align with Blessed Sacrament’s mission to worship God, embrace all people, and form disciples.
Blessed Sacrament Hollywood is one of just two Jesuit parishes in Los Angeles, and the Out ministry embraces the teachings of St. Ignatius:
“Ignatian spirituality challenges us to encounter God in all things, witnessing to the joy of the Gospel. We go forth into the world as contemplatives in action, discerning God’s desire for our lives here, now, and acting on God’s invitation. We are women and men for and with others, hearing both the cry of the earth and the cry of the poor—and responding. And we do all for the greater glory of God.”
Out at Blessed Sacrament works closely with the larger LGBTQ+ Catholic community throughout Los Angeles, particularly at the Archdiocesan level through CMLGP.
At Blessed Sacrament Hollywood, we are building a parish that truly does embrace all people.
